Default Should i buy total recall?

ok so im a big arnold fan, and i like this movie, i wana collect all his movies on blu ray, but ive heard terrible things about this blu ray, and then some say its ok and worth a cheap price. i can get it for 9.99 can. so should i buy it? is it worth it?
another question, should i wait? do u think they will do a remaster or anything? or is this the best the film will look because of its source and stuff?
thanx

I vote no,i'm a big fan too,but it was an early blu ray release, and doesnt look great.Plus it does not have lossless audio. The Running Man on the other hand they did a pretty good job.Hopefully it will get re-released at some point.Just my 2 cents.

I got it for $7.99...I think it was worth it. I never owned the DVD.

Don't buy it--there's a 20th Anniversary Edition coming (at least in the UK, but likely the U.S., too) in June. The current version has crappy video quality and no bonus features. It's pointless.

For under $10 bucks. That's a no brainer.

Definitely but then again it may be worth it to hold off until the anniversary edition. It may even come with a slipcover.

First off, I love this film. Its one of my favorite Arnold movies. And no, the picture quality doesn't suck at all. It is disappointing that there's no lossless track, but whatever.

Do what you want. It certainly looks better than the DVD. The only problem is that for some reason the BD release sort of makes the film look outdated with its contrasts and colors and such.

You obviously haven't compared it the the UK BD because the U.S. BD's video quality sucks haaaaard next to it.

I would wait for the UK remastered edition. It has all the DVD extras apparently and if optimum can enhance or even match the current UK version its going to be the one to get. Just hoping its region free for you US guys. I have a sneaky feeling it will have extras in 50hz though.. Tough choice. At the moment the UK edition currently available is your best bet. I watched it about 3 weeks ago and it looks great on UK version.

No! It was the worst movie ever made next to Kindergarten Cop.
