Oppo BD 83 and Ponyo - Blu-ray Forum

Ponyo played all the trailers before the movie fine but it was not able to load after the bubbles showed up and there was no menu. Was there a resent firmware update I missed?

I got Ponyo to play on my PS3 though if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it please PM me.

Just watched mine last night on my OPPO and no problems. Nothing been posted over at AVS about this disc as far as I know.

any disc i've had problems with on the Oppo work when i turn off BD-Live - maybe try that?

and try erasing Persistent Storage on the unit. even if BD Live isn't on, according to the experts, some info does get collected and should be regularly erased, just in case. I, too, have Live turned off and just erased my storage area a day or so before watching Ponyo.

They said the same thing to me when Gamer wouldn't play - first delete the Live memory and see if that helps. I had no problem watching Ponyo.

hi, i have the same problem with the disc even after switching off bd-live and erasing the storage...does someone have another idea what i could do?

hi, just solved the problem: a simple firmware update for my oppo have done the trick...
