Default Anyone ever use a hdmi to component converter?
HI folks. I have 720p projector with component connections that i'd like to continue using instead of upgrading my project. I plan on getting a blu ray player and a new receiver and wanted to know how the hdmi to component converters worked. Can I come out of my blu ray player to my receiver (for DTS-MA & True HD) audio, then go out from my receiver HDMI out to the converter then to my projector? Is this an okay solution? I know it won't give me 1080 but I wanted to know if this would work to get high def video and still be able to get my HD audio? If yes, which converter would you recommend? Thanks.
