Jungle Book ? - Blu-ray Forum

I was wondering if anyone may have any knowledge of the release of The Jungle Book on blu-ray?

being in the platinum line it should be one of the diamond edition blu rays. At this rate I think it'll be a few years, as the diamond release schedule seems to be roughly following the platinum one and JB was one of the latter ones to be released. Bambi, lion king, lady and the tramp are all due to be out earlier I think, not to mention Fantasia and BATB this year... at 2 diamond releases per year I wouldn't expect JB for quite some time...

the dvd just went back into the disney vault. I would say it would be safe to assume a 2015/2016 release.

Forgive me. I meant the 1994 version. My apologies for not clarifying.

See I thought you might've been referring to that but then I doubted it. Anyway, I'd say probably not until after the animated one, seeing as how its based more on that than the book itself.

I was wondering the same thing. A couple years ago they came out with the animated version on a 2-disc special edition but they never came out with a special edition for the 1994 live action version to the film for DVD and it would be great if they would release it again on blu-ray. Unfortunately, no one word has been given of when it will be released.
