Japan Planetes on Blu

I've noticed that this anime series has come out on blu ray in japan

http://www.yesasia.com/global/planet...0-en/info.html

and then I saw the price

Does anyone know if this will get another more resonably priced release or will this be the only one?

I just feel a little cgeated by these releases as there have been quite a few sets that have come out in japan that are just ridiculosly priced, and don't seem to get re released at a more affordable price (like jin roh).

Japanese Blu-rays are expensive and importing them is also expensive. Best bet is to wait for an American release.

The problem I have is I live in the uk, so I have to import nearly all my anime which makes it more expensive anyways.

But those prices are crazy.

How come the Japanese releases cost soooooo much?
Do people actually pay those prices?
