Default Independant movies distributors

I have received a request for information and I have no idea where to find it. Maybe someone here can help.

An independant animation company I used to work for has a TV series it is remastering in HD - the material is vectored so the higher resolution is no big deal: They are considering releasing the series direct to BD/HD and need to use a distributor company to release into the US, hopefully to make the Christmas 2006 market.

None on my lists of distributor companies quote BD as an output format - it's just too soon for that information to be distributed in print. I suspect the information is available online.

So has anyone here had experience of distributing independant films in HD or know of a reputable company whom this independant can approach for talk about a distribution deal?

TIA

Rhoel
