United Kingdom History of Violence UK

can anyone tell me the a/v specs for this and generally what the audio/video quality is like?

I have heard it is better than the US release but some comments would be useful.

LAstly, bd25 or bd50?

cheers

The UK Release is far superior to the US Disc. EiV created their own transfer which is a hell of a lot better. It loses a lot of the DNR that plagued the US Release and has a DTS HD-MA track over the US Dolby TrueHD Track and its a BD-50.

A much better release.

I thought the UK version has the TrueHD soundtrack also ? I've had this for nearly a year and haven't watched it yet on blu, superb film though.

Also it's the international version with more blood in a couple of scenes.

I read somewhere else (I think avsforums) that the UK disc is only a BD25 with about 19gig taken up.

blusharpy? You mentioned it was a BD-50, do you have any more details?

Is this version definitely the international version with the bits that were censored from the USA version intact?

Do we know this 100%

I have the UK release, and while the first time I watched the film was on BD, after checking one of the special features that compares the censored and uncensored versions, I can confirm the UK release is uncensored, with the extra bits of "gore" intact.

Just to let any stragglers know, the Taiwan release is being reported by DVDCompare as being uncut. Its not, its a quasi-mix of the uncut version and the US version.

The nose-breaking scene is the US version with minimal blood. The throat-stomping has the uncut sound playing (loud crack of bone and wet squish) but strangely has, again, the US footage with minimal blood. I bought it off eBay and now have to return it, as its not uncut. It is, however, Region Free.

That should be it. The cover's wrong...but the details are correct.

Thanks a bunch! The cover was definitely the main source of my confusion.
