I need clarification on this one, please: it seems that The Boys from Brazil is available (only) in the UK. Am I right about this and if so, can I play this UK release on my Panasonic Blu-ray player in Canada? Forgive my ignorance, but in order to play my DVD French movies (by French movies, I don't just mean a movie made in France, I also mean a DVD copy of that movie released in France), I needed to buy a special DVD player (made by Philips) in order to view them in Canada. Does this apply also for Blu-ray movies released in Europe?

There are two, old, small threads for The Boys From Brazil. I'm gonna post this in both and see if anyone is still following either ...

Questions concerning the newer (2008) ITV UK Blu:

1) IMDb lists the time of the movie as 125 min (no variance). However, BRDC list the ITV version as 123 min (although the box says 118 & the review says 124). Any comments/info would be appreciated.

2) Unless it's critical, I rarely buy mono Blu-rays. Has anyone heard anything about a possible newer, forthcoming release which might have an updated sound mix? If not does anyone who owns the ITV version have any comment on the sound quality (yes, I read the review).

I'm sure you made your decision long ago , but I hope you got the UK version 'cause BRDC says the UK version is universal while it says that the Australian on is region B locked.
