Last month my PS3 60Gb PAL PS3 got YLOD so I bought a PS3 slim but after I creating new local user and retrieved my existing account (with mail address and PSW) new SLIM lgged in with different account name than previous PS3!
Since this seems not possible (seems allowed one ONLIE ID per mail address) I contacted SONY (Italy). They requested me Serial Numbers of two PS3, account data (online name, ,mail, etc) I mailed them all but after one month, and a lot of reminder no answer. I fixed the original PS3 the day after I bought the SLIM but after two weeks I get a new YLOD and repaired again and my old PS3 is working (I hope for a long time). If I try to log trough PC’s I have same wrong account ID_Online like new SLIM but still with old PS3 I have my (mastrodisastro) original account. I’m using same data to login on both systems. I have one only Master account and only one local user on both console. I didn’t tried yet to copy all data with utility available on the system 3.15 since not sure my old account will not definitively removed. Any idea or test I can do? How it's possible I can hjave two accounts with same mail address? Last edited by Mastrodisastro; 03-20-2010 at 08:40 AM. |

I'll try to help you:
First question: did you hand out your account info to others for game sharing or to let them unlock trophies for you? Because if someone has your account info, they can make changes to your account. If not, then normally when you log in with your existing account, the username should be the same. Please note there is a difference between your online user ID (which so you on your trophy card on the XMB to the right side) and the local username you chose, which you see on the left side. Is that perhaps the mixup? |

No, problem is the USER_ID that change on two PS3's with same account name! Even the local user is the same and I have only one local user on each PS3. I definitively think is a SONY problem but they didn’t reply me so far. I sent them data last month now, but no reply on last 4 weeks… |

To make it simple 2 PS3 identical account data but two different ID_ONLINE, so I can't use the new system since I lost all my Trophy and purchases. That’s why I repaired the old system but since already died once… |

So essentially you're saying that you have your Masterdisastro account name (aka PSN ID).
Now you're used to logging in with your email address (for this we'll say Masterdisastro@email.com) However are you saying it's now logging you into a completely DIFFERENT PSN-ID when you enter your email address/password to log into the store? Because as you said, you can only use ONE email per PSN ID. I know when I set up my current one (GrooThePerverted) and tried to register it with my email address that I had my previous one registered with, it said "email already registered with another account" or something like that. That IS weird if that's what you're saying. What's the PSN-ID that your now loggin in under? Not the MasterDisastro one, but the other one (if I'm understanding you right). So example, you have Masterdisastro account. You log in to your Masterdisastro account using your email/password for THAT account. When it loads up, it's suddenly PSN-ID: NEWUSERNAME (example). No previous purchases, no trophies, etc? That sucks if it's what's going on. Hopefully you can get that squared away. |

Yes, when I enter my mail address and PSW (same on both systems) I get two different PSN-ID. I know that this should not to be possible but it’s what append to me with the new Slim (so, on the Slim, ,no trophies, no previous purchases, etc. I contacted SONY by phone and they requested me SN of both consoles and both of PSN-ID I have (I suppose to check what’s wrong since they confirmed me this should be impossible) but no news after that so are now 4 weeks my new PS3 is on the box and using the repaired one ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mastrodisastro; 03-20-2010 at 01:44 PM. |

I think I have the same darn problem. My PS3 account was associated with my email address, but now all that pops up when I want to log on to PSN is my brother's email account. When I try to input my email, the message I get is something like, "You cannot log in using someone else's account."
Does anyone have a solution to this? |
