Hopefully, the Academy won't get this wrong too because even though he's known for his role as Davey Crockett, he also appeared in Harvey, Springfield Rifle, The Kid from Left Field, Island in the Sky, Them!, Battle Cry, Old Yeller, Hell Is for Heroes, the Davy Crockett (miniseries 1954-1955) and Daniel Boone (lead cast member from 1964-1970, with Ed Ames, Patricia Blair, Darby Hinton, and Veronica Cartwright).

, I loved the Davy Crockett films, I have them on DVD.

Fess Parker, remembered as Davey Crockett in two Disney movies from the 1950's has passed away. Yes, at age 8 my Dad bought me a coon skin hat which I still have to this day. Thank you Fess for bringing to the screen a true American Hero. You will be missed. RIP

My Dad did the same thing for me as well....I still have it as a keep sake

Miss actors like Fess Parker.

I have the Daniel Boone TV series Seasons 1-5 DVDs, but why is it so hard for me to find Season 6 to complete my collection?

If anyone can find Season 6 of Daniel Boone TV series DVD at a "decent price" please let me know, thanks!
