What are the differences of the actual movies and content from the UK to US versions?

Same question for the matrix trilogy, and will these play on US players? I know bourne will.

Yes, it's a great deal; I've done it myself. But even though it's region-free and 100% US-compatible, it's still a Region B deal that belongs in the Region B Deals forum. It has its own long-running thread over there.

How about some one answer me then before the move as i did not know these were so much cheaper to import until now, and i have wanted both for a long time.

Try the threads on both of them in the Region B forum. I believe the only difference with Bourne is the UK kept the "farmhouse" scene in, and maybe different fonts on the subs. I don't know about Matrix, except it's also region-free and 100% US-compatible (as are nearly all WB releases in the UK).

It keeps getting moved to the region B section, but I think it deserves to be here for there are still people that do not know about this for they dont search region B deals.

So what does it come out to for US order?
Quote:
For Chicago it was about $32-33 (hard to tell since I order Payback title as well
And any differences in these from US versions?

I think someone mentioned before that US has HD exclusive bonus features. But then someone mentioned that was incorrect but that the way the subtitles are encoded is different.:

Quote:
"On the downside, this UK release features generic player-generated location type and subtitles for the non-English dialogue, unlike the burned-in text and correct typefaces used for the US version. A similar problem affects The Bourne Ultimatum."

The information about the extras being in HD for the U.S. release appears wrong from the various reviews I read. The discs are identical with the exception of some secondary language and subtitle options.
Some good pics of the packaging can be found here and here and here:

I did see someone in another thread comment that the audio coding was different and not TrueHD in UK version, but as I said many say the US and UK versions are identical except for the subtitle things and I believe the UK version actually includes this scene cut from US version.

Then there is misinformation about US having higher encoding rates, but this post seems to invalidate that.

Also not all the extras are listed on the packaging for both US and UK, but someone has confirmed that the extras on the UK and US are all there and identical.

So aside from packaging and non-english subtitles, this is a go for US folks.

UPDATE:
From this post here, it seems there might be a minor difference in the UK Ultimatum movie. However, I believe this only effects you if watching with non-english subs. Can someone confirm?

Got my box today ! I already own the US box set, but wanted at least the first one european version due to the movie being a different cut / edit. For the price of one, you get all three, including subtitled audio commentaries, you can't go wrong.
