Default Panasonic C series

I am moving to Thailand in a couple months and have heard some conflicting reports on taxes of household goods coming in the country. I possibly will lose my HT if the import tax is too much. I was checking some stores here, there a a few that sell Panasonic but all I see is C series. I looked on internet to read a little about them and looks like it is the latest EU model. Is this comparable to the V series? If so I will sell TV before leave Japan and get new here.
As for sound unfortunately nothing good here so far.

I own the TC-P42C1 Plasma. I believe the C series are similar to the X series. They are budget models. I believe the difference here is there are a few bells and whistles that the X series has that the C does not. The contrast ratio for the C1, for example, is lower than that of the X1 (X1-30,000:1 vs C1 15,000:1). There are also three HDMI ports on the X1 vs two on the C1, anti-reflective filter in the X1 but not in C1, and no game mode for the C1. So far, these are all that I've found between those two. To answer you're question though, the V series is more toward the upper end of the Panny line, so I wouldn't imagine they would be as similar as say the S1 and the V10. I believe all of the X1 and C1 series are 720p, while the S1 and V10 are 1080p. Things could be slightly different for the European models though
