Greetings, fellow PC gamers!
I recently received my new Alienware Aurora PC. To keep costs low, it arrived sans speakers. So I just bought the Logitec X-540 5.1 system: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JJM8XE I have been hearing a random speaker pop since hooking them up. This is most noticable when I am browsing the internet (IE8, Windows7). The speaker pop usually coincides with a mouse click. Also, it is always a different speaker that pops, toally random. I have not noticed the pop in games or while listening to music in WMP. The Aurora came with a Soundblaster Live X-Fi card. I can guarantee that everything is plugged in correctly. I figured that maybe I got some bad speakers, but after checking Amazon's cusotmer reviews, I see it is a somewhat common problem. I am planning on checking out all the sound mixer options later to see if I can't mute or reduce the volume on whatever is causing this issue. Any ideas, PC gurus? |
