Default Blu-ray (PS3) Games added to the main site page?

Is there anyway it could be done? It would be nice to expand the collection to also include PS3 games. As far as reviews go I'm sure Bluray.com will have no problem finding people willing to do user created reviews for games. As it stands right now, the Blu ray games forum is the second most popular on this site when looking at topics created, and thats saying something as most duplicate game topics get combined into the games official thread, so that number of topics isn't just an exaggeration.

It's been brought up before. I'm sure it's at least being considered.

I hope it isn't to be honest.

I see it at as a positive thing.

It could also potentially bring in more revenue for bluray.com as they could link from this site to the games in Amazon like they do for the movies.

Wouldn't people argue they should have an Xbox and/or Wii games listing as well? I think the site would appear to become to "fanboy-ish" I think, and take away from the fact this is a Blu-ray review site/forum.

If you want to list your PS3 games you can make a Gallery and post it there. That's what I do for new LP's I buy. Works great. Plus, I have a thread on the Concert BD's I own, which I may also post seperately in my gallery.

Just sayin'.

There's really nothing to argue.

Xbox and Wii games aren't on Blu-Ray discs. When Microsoft and Nintendo adopt Blu-Ray, they'll get more play here.

I like that the site would make money from links as it does movies but honestly I view this site more as a BD technology and home theater forum, not a gaming forum.

Not to single out some of the gamers here but I also don't want to see a bunch of gamers coming to this site like psu.com I can hardly stand to be on that forum. It's a bunch of teenagers that just make me feel dumber every time I visit the site.

I'd like to see a CD and a Vinyl collection too, but I'm not asking for one as I don't think blu-ray.com is the proper site for that.

I knew you would quote me on that. LOL! However, I've changed my mind on the matter, which I hope is allowed?

This site has had a large amount of gaming members for a long time now, and you list your PSN in your sig?

I would love to see games added to the collection/amazon links, linked to threads in the PS3 section much like movies. Who knows maybe one day reviews on exclusives?

I realize there are a lot of gamers on this site. Unlike PSU though, most of the gamers here are of the older crowd and there main focus on this site isn't games alone. The gaming crowd over there is completely different from those here most of them are younger and it's not really the same kind of enviroment. I think if this site starts to focus more attention to games it would draw that same crowd and that's what I don't want to see.

Maybe I'm a wrong but I enjoy the older more mature crowd that this site has and I would like it to remain that way if at all possible.

Yes, I do have my PSN ID in my sig, that doesn't have anything to do with this conversation though. In case you haven't noticed the PS3 has a HUGE share of users that use it as a bluray player. I've got plenty of friends on this site that use it as their player just like I do, if any of them wanted to reach me there for some reason they can see what my ID is in my sig.

I understand what you are saying now, I too enjoy the mature (most of the time) crowd here, I don't frequent other forums like the psu one you mention but I can imagine it wouldn't be as enjoyable as this site.

I only mentioned your psn id as it seemed to me that you were also a gamer, having the sig and your screen name. Being a gamer I was not sure why you would not want such features but your response has answered that confusion.

I am not sure if the addition of such a feature would greatly change the demographics of this site, as I said there is already a very large involved gaming community here, if anything changes it would just be catering to those members. If it did bring more users to the site I am sure that the positive attitude of many members and the great job our mods do would keep things just the way they are, and maybe even encourage some of those PS3 gamers who don't use their console as a blu ray player to do so.

I look at is as a form of revenue for the site with links, and a little something extra for us with the collection. If reviews make it in there...all the better.

I really don't see the demographic changing drastically if at all. I also have the utmost faith in our moderators and BS won't be tolerated.

I wouldn't mind seeing this done, but as I'm a cross-platform gamer I would like to see it done for all gaming platforms. However, since this is primarily a blu-ray site, and the PS3 is the only platform which currently utilizes the blu-ray format, I would understand why 360 and Wii games would be excluded.

yeah.... I figured I wasn't the first one to think of this but I couldn't find it in a search.

I have to imagine it would be a lot of work to implement, but may pay off with added revenue from Amazon.
