Default Best LED for the money?

I have been reading through a few forums trying to decide which 55" LED is going to work best for me.

I'm upgrading from a 61" samsung dlp that is 4 years old...

I thought I had my mind set on the latest samsung UN55C8000, I also found a really great deal, I don't plan on using the 3d feature right now but thought the set would also be an improvement over last years models.

I also like the UN55B8000 from last years models for the awesome PQ etc..

I looked at Sony XBR8 and LG 55lh90 (which got an awesome review)

Ok so here's the deal... comparing the sets to the new c8000 model I can save $600 going with the B8000 and nearly $1000 less if I went with the LG, I'm not sure about the Sony there's just so many to choose from.

I watch alot of DVD/Blu-Ray
I play alot of games Xbox, PS3 etc..

Any suggestions here? Thanks

I would choose the samsung b8000. The c8000 is basically the same set with 3D added on and with a $600 saving you could put that towards well more blu rays or even a new deck. Its nice to say you have the latest tv out but you pay a price for it and to be honest its not really worth that extra cash.

I would go for the B8500. It's black levels are stunning. Makes the 8000 totally inferior by comparison, especially in a dark environment.

Glad you're enjoying your B8500. I love mine! Blows my old A650 out of the water!
