Default Circuit City Screw-up ?

Maybe it was intentional. Unload some Toshiba paperweights and get Blu-rays into the hands of inevitable future supporters at the same time.

Doh! Beat me by 1 minute.

Lmao...I had seen that I had beaten you by a minute as well!!! Sorry about that. Maybe it is a conspiracy lol....Well, the Hd-Dvd players cost about the same as paper weights, are are going to be valued as useless soon enough anyway.

More importantly, are potential buyers reading the bullet point that the resolution is limited to 1080i -- and if they are, do they understand what they are reading? Why is Toshiba continuing to sell these players -- to continue the perception that their players are less expensive?

Toshiba has a lot invested in Hd-Dvd and has a substantial amount of money to lose once Blu-Ray becomes the preferred High Definition format of choice.

Hey!! Circuit City is copying my idea; but copying it imperfectly.

I've said that what it would take to get me to buy an HD-DVD player would be if it would be priced at $29.99 and come with an offer of 5 free Blu-ray discs of my choice. Well, they're getting closer to the point I'll make the move.

Sometime early this week, Circuit City updated their web listings for Toshiba's HD DVD players, and apparently someone at the retail giant got their wires crossed

Instead of listing the HD DVD camp's "five free HD DVDs" offer among the list of rebates included with the Toshiba players, Circuit City listed the Blu-ray camp's "five free Blu-ray take a look

What would be great is if someone bought the toshiba player, tried sending in the upc for the 5 free movies, and realised the player wasn't on the list. Then they would go back upset and trade it in for a Blu Ray player. Way to go Circuit Shity.

Well, that is pretty funny. Good for them. I can't stand Circuit City anyway, and with this screwup they may have alienated a few more customers and a lot of potential ones.
