On June 3rd, 2010 Warner Brothers will release in the U.K. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker on Blu-Ray. No details are known for the release, but they are believed to be similar to the DVD release supplements. The news comes from planetahd.com:

Warner anunció en el Reino Unido que va a lanzar para el 3 de junio la película de Michael Jackson; Moonwalker en Blu-ray. De momento no se saben contenidos, pero se supone que será muy similar al DVD ya editado. Aquí os dejo la carátula que llevará:

La película va mostrando los cambios de Michael Jackson como persona y como intérprete, y lo que ha logrado en los 30 años que tenía cuando hizo el filme. El niño que cantó de manera conmovedora a la amistad en “Ben”, el joven que convirtió la vida en un Thriller, el apasionado intérprete que llegó hasta el corazón con “We Are The World”, todos están aquí. Y luego vino “Bad”. Todo vuelve a ocurrir. La música toca, el ritmo se mueve. Michael está aquí, y los demás también. Adentrándonos en la aventura encontramos también un viaje al sentido del humor de Michael Jackson, mediante los titulares de un periódico que ponen “Leave Me Alone”. Es una gira por la vida de Michael, sobre cómo ha cambiado y cómo piensa que los demás le ven. Para esto, Michael se desliza hacia “Smooth Criminal”, la escala más importante del viaje de Jackson. Michael, el héroe definitivo, se enfrenta con todas sus fuerzas al villano Mr. Big, cuya suprema intención es apoderarse del mundo, logrando que los escolares consuman drogas. En el curso de esta terrible lucha, y mientras los seguidores de Mr. Big intentan eliminar a Michael, tres niños, Sean, Katie y Zake, son testigos de sus milagrosas transformaciones y su victoria final. Un cómic con estética videoclipera realizado a mayor gloria de la estrella del pop Michael Jackson, que se interpreta a sí mismo y que muestra aspectos de su vida, sus sueños y su música. Articulado a modo de Sketches, destaca el último de ellos que muestra a Jackson erigido en una especie de superhéroe galáctico que combate a las Fuerzas del Mal, episodio en el que aparece Joe Pesci y varios niños.

They also edited the part when Pesci is hitting the girl inside the elevator. It cuts to Michael just as he raises his hand.

Yes, I can confirm those cuts. The previous UK DVD contains those bits so this is quite annoying.

I think it was originally listed as Dolby Digital 5.1.

Yeah, if it wasn't released here to cash in soon after his death, the chances aren't good of getting a US release.

I love this film, it reminds me of my childhood, but i don't want to buy it cut. (even if it was 2-3 seconds)

Because I can't understand why otherwise. Michael Jackson was huge all over the world and USA.

It's been 5 years since this UK release. If WB isn't bothered to release it in the US after all this time, chances are they won't ever.
