Default Buttkicker isolators?

Hey guys, I have a couple questions for people who have experience with the buttkickers. I just bought the LFE kit off amazon, should be here today. Now I have theater recliner seats from kmart. http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_1...heater+seating

My question is about the isolators. I have two chairs in the back on a platform I just built, and 3 in front. Im puttin the buttkicker on the 2 chairs in the back. Now I thought about putting the buttkicker in the platform, but was unsure about how well I would feel it and how it would affect the platform, I mean, its built pretty solid, but there are a few creeks.

So then I was thinking about puttin the buttkicker under one of the legs, but they say use the isolators for the other legs. And it looks like you have to drill the isolators in the legs? Well Im not sure if that would work, so I was wondering, would it still feel good if i didnt use them, or could i just place them under the legs without drilling them in? Thanks a lot. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

If you get a thick rubber pad and cut it to go under the legs of the couch that should be sufficient.

The isolators do not need to be drilled in. However, you do NEED them to have the full effect. Play around with it a little after you get it set up. You can always attach to your platform and then decide not to go that route if it's not as effective as the isolators.

So the circular isolators that come with the kit, if I put them under the legs without drilling, would they stay there even with all the vibration? Or are they gonna eventually vibrate out?

If put onto a carpet, I doubt they would vibrate from out under the legs. On tile or hardwood floors, this may be different.

thanks guys. I have the buttkicker up and running. Just watched some action scenes from 2012 with it, and played some MW2. This thing is deff awesome.
