In this club, we get to share some of the Limited/Ultimate/Special/Collector's Edition Blu-ray movies we own, the ones you are looking forward to buying, and of course discussing about them.

There's one condition though: You MUST have at least one limited, special, ultimate or collector's edition Blu-ray Disc in your collection (henceforth, the title of this thread). Criterion Movies are also permitted in this thread.

If there's only one edition on BR, the "edition" title is kind of obsolete, no? DVDs got labeled "Special Edition", when they're in fact the only edition available.

I don't fully understand the thread. I was thinking it was the actual special editions you mean but you list Transformers. Many Blu-rays such as Transformers don't have any other version of the movie special edition is just a ploy to sell more copies. When i think special or ultimate edition i think of the Terminator 2 bust, Dark Knight batpod, Blade Runner Case, ETC... Blu-ray's that leave you with an option to pay for the premium or just buy the normal edition.

Ya, I realized that myself. I was kind of reluctant to put those one's down, but I figured the one's that counted outweighed the one's that kind of didn't.

I did list the Transformers 2 IMAX Edition though. Since that one is exclusive.

Interesting how marketing does a Special Edition for the only edition, like say, Iron Man. So I won't include that in collection, unless I got one of those Sideshow helmets from Best Buy. The Bat Pod would count as something special too. So my list would be:

Just FYI, there are two versions of the Iron Man regular edition BD, the one where the slipcover art matches the case cover art and the one where the case cover art is different than the slipcover art. The latter is fairly limited now but you're right I wouldn't call it a special edition.

The one I have is the one with iron Man on the slipcover and Tony Stark on the case. .

Guess I should add the Amadeus digibook, since they now released it as a regular BD.

I'm taking a page from Harlock415's book and avoiding any title that lists itself as a Special or Collector's Edition when it's the only such edition on the market. My list is focused on limited edition titles, unique collector's packaging, boxed sets with unique content not found in the individual title releases, and foreign releases with markedly more extras than offered on the domestic counterpart:
