Sound issues on Lord of the Rings Return of The King game - Blu-ray Forum

Since my upgrade to the latest version for the PS3, my PS2 game LOTR Return of the King has audio problems. Some sounds are there while others are not. Anyone else?

While I do not have the game, you may want to clarify a few things.

1) When you say "upgrade" do you mean firmware update or a new 80GB PS3?
2) When sounds are missing is it entire sections of silence or are a range of sounds absent such as higher or lower frequency sounds?
3) What is your audio setup like: HDMI, Toslink, Receiver, TV etc?

Answering these questions may allow others to better help you.

Also try changing the title of the thread to something like "Sound Problems LOTR Game"

The audio problem began with the firmware upgrade. I figured it out though. If anyone cares, once a game has started, simply quit the game (don't exit to the PS3 menu) and start over. The audio is fixed.
