Australia Predator - Ultimate Hunter Edition

EzyDVD have now updated their listing for Predator - Ultimate Hunter Edition due to hit shelves on 30/06/2010 with low-res coverart and confirmation of the edition title. Still no word on whether there is a new transfer or additional special features have been added. The title has been added to the database here, which will be updated as specs come in for the disc.

Love the art! Hope it's the same for the UK version. Slipcover please.

I can almost garantee that it will not be a new transfer, it wouldn't be worth the cost (and the increase in how good it can look is extremely minimal as the current transfer is just as good as any 35mm presentation I have seen of the film).

I agree that it most likely won't be a new transfer. There is the possibility of at least MPEG-4 being used and there may be some benefits to that cleaning up some of the noisy (and I mean noise, not grain) shots. Having said that, I own the original release and for the most part is pretty good. As you say, the difference may be minimal. Still, it would be interesting to see what difference, if any there may be.

it's most likely just to have new special features. I'd say fox are revamping the predator series since they are releasing "Predators" in cinemas this year. But on a sidenote, when will the blu release of the Alien series ever come?! (Not AVP)

I hope they include all the special features from the Definitive Edition on DVD, the fact the blu-ray was barebones was the only reason why I didn't buy it.

Is this the same edition on DVDCrave? http://dvdcrave.com.au/ViewProduct.a...0-7c3e32b018c9

They show the release date as June 30th. DVDCrave are a bit cheaper for international shipping.

Based on there being "reauthored" in the title that should be new edition.

You know, I've always thought the current transfer was pretty solid.
