Default Michael Bay changes his stance on HD??

So mr Bay changed his stance on Blu-ray and HDdvd, he posted on his website. Unfortunately he will be around for Transformers 2:

"Last night at dinner I was having dinner with three blu-ray owners, they were pissed about no Transformers Blu-ray and I drank the kool aid hook line and sinker. So at 1:30 in the morning I posted - nothing good ever comes out of early am posts mind you - I over reacted. I heard where Paramount is coming from and the future of HD and players that will be close to the $200 mark which is the magic number. I like what I heard.

As a director, I'm all about people seeing films in the best quality possible, and I saw and heard firsthand people upset about a corporate decision.

So today I saw 300 on HD, it rocks!

So I think I might be back on to do Transformers 2!

Michael Bay"

I for one was sorta glad he might be off the series. Sure I liked watching big robots fight, but the storyline with the code decrypting was a little lame for me.

But the main focus here is, he's gone HDdud now-looks like M$ may have won 1 director, but we still have Spielberg. He's 10x's the director Bay is anyway.

If you look at Michael's films, and compare them to someone like Spielberg.. this is no contest! Bay's films are more action packed, big effects, and yet usually get mixed reviews. I am not saying he is not good. But Steven is FAR better.

Sounds to me like M$ came up with a suitcase just for Mr. Bay.

Quotes from the new Paramount release with Michael Bay as the new "Brave heart"
"They can take my paycheck, but they canna no take my freedom"

errr... come to think of it, I really don't want them to take my paycheck either.

ummmm... Never mind... forget I said anything...

I lost the little respect I had for him after that flip flopping comment. Transformers was average at best...the visuals were pretty good but the storyline was horrible. Also, many of the fight scenes were hard to make out as they did not spend any time to develope the characters (Decepticons), I didn't know who was fighting who for parts of the movie.
