Canada Kahuna's Theater

Hello to everyone, I am new on this forum and wanted to introduce myself and my theater.

Like most of you it is always a work in progress...I just recently changed out my Denon Bluray for the Oppo, and changed my SVS subs for a pair of JL Audio F113s. I am very happy with the changes.

I mostly watch Bluray Movies, concerts and 2 channel music from my Computer (Itunes & Mediamonkey for FLACS).

I also have a 2 channel setup in my family room where I listen to vinyl mostly.

Cheers!

Mike

Thanks guys!

For my 2 channel currently I am running a Musical Fidelity KW 500 Hybrid Integrated with their KW25 Transport/DAC for digital and a Marantz TT15 for my vinyl. I use a Wadia 170 to play my Ipod. This all goes through my B&W 805s with a REL R305 Sub. I am really limited with speaker placement due to the room and WAF!

The Musical Fidelity Rack:

I just wet my pants a little bit. 10/10 is not a high enough score for you.

That is one impressive set-up. I'm guessing those amps you got probably cost more than my whole system!! What do you do about the components behind the center channel or is it empty back there? You ever think about getting a shelf style rack like the one in your 2 channel set up and loosing the A/V rack. That way you can put your center channel under the screen. Also, cant really tell from the picture but, when you sit in your chairs does that tweeter get in the way of the bottom half of the screen?

The only components behind the center are the PS Audio Powerplant, DVDO Edge Video Upscaler and owners manuals etc, so I don't need to access them often, and the new stand the center is on has wheels so i can move it (the sucker ways 205 lbs, so before when it was spiked, there was no moving it!).

The tweeter level is right at the bottom of the screen when watching, so it doesn't get in the way...I did think about removing the whole BDI piece, but the wife likes it, and the 800Ds are out at the same plane as the center, so it wouldn't make sense to shove the center back against the wall.

I keep all my blurays in another BDI piece on the right side of the room, forgot to take pics...will later.

I am happy with the setup...the next thing I will likely do is look at isolation stuff and maybe new cabling. Currently I use Cat Cable which is hand made by a small company...I like it, but wouldn't mind doing a comparison against maybe Transparent or Wireworld.

Cheers!

Very nice indeed. I will now go cry, but quietly, I don't want my system to know somethings wrong....
