Australia Back to the Future Trilogy (box set and single releases out now)

We only get it a day later than the US on October 27. Really looking forward to it. I loved the first and the third and enjoyed the second. Will definitely be picking it up.

Here's the pressrelease: http://www.dvdbits.com/details.asp?newsid=5187

Loved all three parts, and will buy this asap. The DVDs look and sound great, so I have no doubt the BDs will be awesome.

1. E.T was an 'Anniversary Edition', but in the sense that it was re-released in cinemas (with large publicity) with a new cut, different scenes, and yes, walkie-talkies instead of guns. BTTF is an 'Anniversary' release, but there has been no talk at all about a different cut, so it would be 100% safe to assume nothing will be changed, seeing as nothing at all has lead anyone to believe otherwise.

2. Dawn of the Dead 2004, was 'censored' in the USA release, not just on the BD, but their DVD release too... why you mention that regarding BTTF, baffles me. Just because its the same studio, doesnt mean all their releases will feature alternate cuts.

Love the first, the third is very good IMHO and the second is enjoyable but hampered by a lot of cheese. I'll pick this up, but will be waiting to see which country has the best deal/offer.

Yeah, I will be waiting to see what the reviews say about the video and audio quality first, then see who has the best price.

A little dissapointed with the cover art, would have been cool if they just used the original artwork from the first movie. Or better yet, 3 individual cases with their own artwork.

Oh well.

The 'cast reunion launch' would be awesome if they put on a show in character... they could have Doc pull up in the car and leap out yelling "Marty!!" and then have Fox come out from somewhere in Martys jacket... that would be EPIC on a scale of EPICNESS. Hope it ends up on YouTube regardless..

Finally! Woo.. I wish we had the same cover art as America though with Doc on it But oh well.

Is a Digi pack the book packaging they have in the USA for some Blu Rays? Or is it like one of those fold out boxset things. Sorry I'm abit lost hahah

A Digipack is a fold-out case design, where as a Digibook is a book where the disc is held in place at the back.

Digipack Example:

Oh yeah the Digipack is the way to go, means there should be more artwork than the single case release.

Exactly! It will look much better then the regular 3 disc case. If the Mummy Trilogy is anything to go by, it will just be plain white (well, Blue) inside. But who knows

One-time is the locking mechanism of the case. Amary cases use Red Tag locking systems, One Time use sliding locks.
