I've never really analyzed studied or looked at a 1080 screen compared to a 780. Where I'm trying to go with this, is I currently own 2 1080 screens. One is a 40 inch Bravia and the other is a 46 inch samsung. But I've decided to build a small home theater. Separate from the main rooms of the home and without any satellite/cable connection. Unfortunately it seems as if my cable provider can only allow me to have HDTV on 2 tv's no more. So while I'm not going to worry about getting a cable connection I plan on just hooking up my new PS3 and xbox 360 to this TV and provide it with a klipsch surround sound.
So my question is if you're only playing Games and watching blu-ray/HD DVD's is there going to be a severe difference between 1080 and 780? I can see the difference with bordcasted HDTV for some reason but I don't see it with games. Mind you there are not a whole of games that run at 1080 to begin with. So what about films? Thanks. Oh and sorry this probably should be moved to the home theater section, I would move it myself if I could, mods could you please move it? |
