United Kingdom Flags of our Fathers codec?

Anyone got Flags of our Fathers? I got the boxset the other week which comes with Iwo Jima. Everywhere online I've seen says that Flags of our Fathers uses the MPEG4/AVC codec? I sit here watching it though and both my players tell me it's VC-1. What's the deal here? I don't get it.

Before I even sat down to watch it I was expecting an amazing picture from all the reviews I'd seen and comments on the video quality. I started watching it though and have been quite underwhelmed. That's when I decided to flick the display on on my screen. Most of the time it's not particularly a high bit rate. It can go from 10mbps upto about 26mbps but most of the time it's arounf 16 -18. Kinda annoying because the picture doesn't seem that sharp either. Not what I was expecting. And yeah, it says VC-1 codec.

What happened to the AVC? UK version btw.

Haven't checked out Iwo Jima yet.
