Default Microsoft 1 Billion Ring Of Death Debt

I know that Microsoft has a boat load of money. That they were part of the whole mess this week, but how about the 1 billion that was annouced that they will be spending or already spending on replacing or repairing 360's. I just read today on line, now their "driving" controler's are literally smoking and at over $100.00 a pop, they will have to replace these as well.

Yes, they want to keep the HD-DVD issue going until they get thier on-line/down-load program up and really running, but at some point you have to think they will have to step back and look at the situation. Company's can only lose so much money, even Microsoft.

By the way, my 360 has been replaced by Microsoft 3x in 2 years!

I heard they are gonna start returning the RMA'd XBOXs with free Zune and a copy of Blades of Glory (Blu-ray) as compensation.

Yeah and what is the failure rate of the PS3? Less than one damn percent! All these Hd Dvd fanboys try to say that Blu Ray is a crappy format, but guess what? Even in the unlikely event that it does die, the games can still be produced on Blu Ray discs. So what does that mean? The games will be getting better and better due to the increased storage capacity. With games like Lair, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy 13, Killzone 2, Ratchet and Clank, and Heavenly Sword the future of the PS3 continues to look very bright, even if three of the titles I mentioned won't be out till early next year.

When i see Microsoft, I see Sega and their Dreamcast Falure. Great Machine in the Beginning, easy to develop for, but did not use DVD. Instead it used GD-ROM, was advertised as CD-ROM and they Cut off their Existing audience with the elimination of the Sega Saturn. They were dwarfed by the playstation 2, just like Xbox 360 is dwarfed by the playstation 3 due to MGS4. MGS2 Stole Dreamcasts thunder. Anyone see a resembalance

I love my PS3, have owned a PS since they first came out way way back when.

Check out a good read on Hollywood In Hi-Def.com. Great blog from Hettrick on the lastest from Graffeo on the future of HD-DVD and Amir Majidimehr from Microsoft.
