Question on Alliance blu rays (Shaun of the Dead and The New World)

I got these two off ebay and thought I was going to get the American version, but they ended up being the Canadian Alliance releases. Is there any difference between the American and Canadian transfers of these movies? It's annoying enough that the box art looks crappy like it was made with a home printer, but someone please ease my mind that at least the transfers are the same.

If the user didn't mention they were the Canadian releases, demand that you get a refund and send him the movies back. If he refuses, leave bad feedback. Make sure you scope out the entire Ebay page to see if he did indeed mark they were Alliance releases. As for the transfers, I do think they are different according to this.

Same discs as the US releases but with localized artwork for the Canadian market.

Yeah they were definitely listed as the American versions with the American UPC. Here's the link to Shaun of the Dead. Didn't get my $5 candy cash either, was looking forward to that

Thanks steve_dave, I remember reading somewhere that if the American version came out before or at the same time as the Alliance, that they would most likely have the same transfer. Just wanted to make sure since there was a bad user rating for the Alliance Shaun of the Dead on this site.
