Date Night Release Thread - August 10th

No release date yet or special features yet, but the cover boasts an Extended Edition of the film, as well as a digital copy. Amazon is taking pre-orders now.

It was decent enough for a buy, however the funniest parts were in the credits.

Date Night will be realeased August 10. The film will be a two-disc set Blu-Ray + Digital Copy. I'll most likely pick it up.

I can't wait for this movie. The previews looked really good but I never got the chance to see it. I already have it pre-ordered.

I was a little disappointed actually, was hoping for more laughs. There were a few good scenes and some great dialog at times but overall, not as funny as I expected.

4 years???

After about a year or so after a movie is released on DVD/blu-ray, it'll come on TV.

I meant 4 years like having forgot about this garbage looking movie and flipping through the channels and watching it with commercials then flipping to something else after 20 mins

I loved this movie day 1 for me. Steve and Tina had good chemistry together and it made for a funny movie.

I'll disagree with the one person that said it was not as funny as expected. Both Steve Carell and Tina Fey had me in hysterics. The overall plot for the film has issues and some of the scenes are rather cliche, but those two MAKE the movie. I'll be picking this one up, right away.

Extended Cut is 102 minutes long. 14 minutes longer than the theatrical cut.

I didn't see this in theaters due to the length. I can't justify paying ticket prices for an 88 minute movie.

I watched it in theaters and it's bad. Really bad. I think I only laughed three times throughout the entire film. Sad as I would really like to own something with Tina Fey in it.

Apparently the Target version will have an exclusive DVD copy of the movie in addition to the Digital Copy.

Well Target's ad shows it for $25 but it looks like the shit release without the extended content. Can any in the know confirm if this is a PG/edited version?
