Not a bad little film, but I don't need to scoop it up right away. I'll wait until the price goes down.

I won't pick it up for a while as well. Did not see it in theaters and so must be a rental first.

I enjoyed the movie when I saw it in theaters and think it will look really good on Blu. Will wait till Christmas though as I have so many other Blu's to get in September and October.

Holy crap do I agree. Some of these titles I would buy if nothing else came out the same week (like The Karate Kid... Just because I like Jackie Chan), but it seems that the first and last week in October are getting just absolutely hammered with releases.

This may be a blind buy for me, since I like Jackie Chan and the original Karate Kid.

But I'll wait for the holiday season to pick this title up; there's too many other good movies being released in the next few months.

Meh i am soooo going to skip this one like The Plague i hold the 80s one really high this remake rebooted really made me mad

It didn't make me mad, I love the original, and when I went to see the 2010 version, it didn't take away the existence of, or lose my respect for the original.

I hope they release The Karate Kid Part III around that time. They should have released that movie at the same time the first two movies got released in May.

I'll pass on this one. Not only have they screwed up the original story, but the kid learns Kung Fu rather than Karate.

lol, I thought that was funny as well. Should have been called "Kung Fu Kid."

It is really funny. I would imagine that the director and/or Sony wanted to cash in on the tie-in to the original film, which makes no sense. The only commonality between the two films is that you have an American kid learning martial arts and that's about it.

I don't know if it's just me, but everytime I see or think about The Karate Kid I get that one song in my head - "Yer the best...aroouund. Nothin's ever gonna bring you down..." Can't help it.

Oh, and I'll be bypassing the "Kung Fu Kid" and buying the original soon. Such a classic.

They probably couldn't do "The Karate" <insert person here>" because Jackie Chan doesn't know karate; he's a kung fu artist.

He does know Chinese Boxing, Judo and Taekwondo, so maybe the movie should've been called "The Boxing Boy" or "The Judo Junior" or "The Taekwondo Tot"
