I have been keeping a close-eye on Park Chan Wook's Vengeance Trilogy Set for the longest time. I would have pulled the trigger if not for Palisades Tartan's enormous mess-up and their current unethical handling of the situation, or lack thereof.
In the set, the Oldboy disc is missing 7.1 TrueHD audio. In place is a lossy 5.1 track, and this is despite 7.1 listed as spec on the back cover. I was browsing through Amazon.ca today and stumbled upon the following... http://www.amazon.ca/Vengeance-Trilo...1308142&sr=1-3 Listed as October 5, 2010 release. Scroll down and it has Alliance Films listed as the distributor. I don't know. I feel scared and excited at the same time. Here's hoping the Oldboy audio problem is fixed, and that everything else is on par with Palisades Tartan. For those who have already purchased the P-Tartan set from Amazon.ca, how's the Oldboy audio? Can someone verify whether 7.1 has been put back or is the problem still unfixed? Thanks.
