Question Spyglass taking over MGM, the future of Bond Films?

With Spyglass to likely take over MGM, do you think a new series of Bond films will be (re)released? Or do you think everything will pick-up where it's been left off.

Do you mean to say they actually might just re-release the Bond films already on BD with their logo slapped on them?

If the Spyglass deal happens it's still unknown what would happen with MGM. It's still believed the company would enter bankruptcy, and MGM's creditors could end up trying to force a merger with another studio like Warner, Summit or Lions Gate. Spyglass knows this and one of the big sticking-points right now is how much of a fee they would receive if MGM backs out of the deal. It's still way too soon to know what is going to happen with MGM.

Couldn't agree more he's great. Sources say that MGM will have till at least September before their money is gone. I really just want some more bond films though.

Daniel Craig is committed for at least one (and possibly 3) of the "Millenium" films (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc.). I doubt he will be available to play Jimmy Bond any time soon.

It's not bad to want more Craig-fueled Bond films. He kicks @ss as Bond. His two films have presented the closest interpretation of Bond to Fleming's books. Plus, the writing and production quality of the films has never been better.

Glad Im not alone here on this, not saying you agree he's your 'best' Bond but, you appreciate his character.

Frankly, and I know I will get alot of disagreements by hardcore Bond-ers, I think a SAS black bag ops spy needs to be fit to do what the Bond character needs to do. Not an Ahnold or even a Stallone build but, a Daniel Craig type build, toned and lean with definition.

Too many Bonds looked skinny, whimpy, anemic etc...I never believed their character.

Just a thought...

Agreed, and I'm saying that as a Bond fan for nearly 40 years.
