found it on a "steelbook" search on the futureshop website but get an error when I click on the link

Beauty and Beast isnt considered catalog by Disney since its the first time on bluray. It will mean major sales. What he is referring to is titles already on blu-ray, like Meet Robinsons, Dinosaur. Look at the catalog SteelBooks, they are terds and still in many Best Buys. Titles like Monsters Inc and UP and even Snow White and gone and harder to come by at a store level

I didn't buy all of them because I owned all of the Pixars/Pirates on Amary besides UP. I picked up Nightmare before Christmas because it's my favourite movie and the Disney Classics as I didn't own them. Otherwise I would skip them. Would I buy a Toy Story 1/2 SB? Probably not but if they made 3 also a SB, it would be kinda weird to not at least match them up.

I agree that prior BD amaray releases may not produce optimal sales, but if they keep the numbers reasonable (say 4000), they will sell. In any case, new to BD still leaves these:

Beauty and the Beast
Toy Story 3
Prince of Persia
Finding Nemo (?)
Dumbo (?)
A Christmas Carol
Fantasia/Fantasia 2000

true, but if they don't go with 12, it becomes random since the whole concept is a play on the 12 days of Christmas (aka Christmastide).

Usually I dont buy older movies on blu ray, but as The Beauty and The Beast is on of my all time fave movies + it comes in a steelbook, chances are around 100% that I will buy it day one.

P.S. Why do you guys think its a steelbook?
When I go to their page it doesnt say steelbook, its just two of the same identical pictures with the link for 1 not workin
P.S 2. I searched the word "steelbook" on FS website as you did and none of them came.

Links are dead. We have to wait for an official announcement but with even an error, it seems it will be likely to happen.

Anyway, its good news for those who want full collections. I'd be happy to hand pick a few here and there.

Last year 13 Steelbooks were released and beside Snow White, Up! and Monsters inc. (that most junkee (like me) bought from one of the zillion Countries who already had it) they were all catalog titles

Can you name one more "new" title?

Toy Story 3, Prince of Persia, Finding Nemo, The Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo and Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 (fingers crossed for the last two) are brand new titles so there's plenty of choice.

To be honest i didn't care for most of the Disney Steels released last year. They only ones i thought looked cool were the POTC Steels. Other than that i thought they were just........ok

Maybe to some. Not to me. they weren't ugly by any means. they just didnt do it for me. Just didnt think they were great

IMO Monster Inc looked the best, along with Ratatouille.

Nah, bugs life is probably my favourite steel of last year. Sleeping beauty was great too. I just wish it was embossed like the cardboard cover (which is how I thought it would be before I got it).

Most steelbooks have very lame artwork. But Futureshop get it right more than most.

Yeah, Monsters inc looks good as long as you don't see the spine, I hate Jumbos +10 for the artwork -15 for the size.

My all time favorite disneys steelbook was the plain Cars DVD steelbook released a few years ago, it's really simple and looking damn good.

There was a few pretty simple DVD steels of CGI flicks that looked really neat.

Those are beautiful. They should make more SteelBooks like that. Simple, yet sleek. Instead of some of the crowded artwork that plagues most SteelBooks. The UK Kick-Ass steel is a good example. I like it, even if others don't.
