I thought the detail was awful, in fact I just wondered if it was an upscaled SD picture. I saw it and thought, this will look good when it is in HD.

You must have cable . Friends don't let friends watch cable. It's not really HD. You need to call your Satellite or Fiber provider.

"Cable" is like "HD DUD". Just another way to spell "SHIT"

Or since Satellite compresses it even worse (dunno about FIOS), you should use the tuner on your TV

I watched about 1/2 hour tonight and I agree with you 100%. I can't wait until this title is released on Blu. I am also very happy that Nemo is on the schedule for 08. Imagine Bruce in HD.

Actually considering working for a cable company is what I do for a living I can say that this is not even close to reality.
Especially since cable (at least here) is fiber all the way to the tap.

The DVD is damn good, and quite frankly, I didn't see the "Huge" difference between it, and the NBCHD broadcast.

Maybe I need to take another peek at the DVD.

I feel like the design is pretty basic and I just don't see it benefiting like Cars & the Rat did on HD.

That said, if it comes out on Blu-ray, I'm definitely upgrading!

let hd dvd keep dreamworks animation and however many shreks and shark tales they can make. pixar alone has made more original, witty, and entertaining films than there are on hd dvd now.

I did find it hard to keep from laughing out loud at highdefdigest today. they're talking about warner going hd exclusive being a matter of when, and how blu ray is dying already. aaaahhhhh. its fun to watch crazy people talk to themselves. perhaps they have rat envy?

I can't wait to get nemo. pixar'disney have been amazing so far.

Correct, the DVD is one of the Best Pixar Encode so far. It still bitstarved in action scenes but that the fault of MPEG2 and DVD Spec not because of the encode.

I saw the HD Version and it's a great update to the dvd, remind you that i'am on 100' inch here, so it's really easy for anything to look better than DVD, the only thing that look worst is SD Cable

The Incredibles looked very good on my set last night.
I can't wait for the Blu release.
Chicken Little was 3D like on my new player (and I didn't even like the movie but my 7 year old does) so I have Cars and Rat on order now even though I think the dvd versions I own look pretty good upscaled on my setup.

Cars on DVD is subpar imho... lots of motion artifact and edge artifact... Rat is almost as good as Incredible, but sometime there's too much detail and it get bland together..

The sucess of incridible encode on DVD is that it's style...
