Samsung BD-P2400 and BD-UP5000 offical product spec sheets - Blu-ray Forum

The estimated time of arrival on the Samsung BD-P2400 and BD-UP5000 is November. The BD-UP5000 has the exact same features of the BD-P2400 with the added bonus of playing HD-DVD discs at 1080P/24. For those that want the added feature to play HD-DVD discs also the BD-UP5000 is going to cost around $400 more compared to the BD-P2400.

When Samsung wrote the BD-UP5000 spec sheet they forgot to change the model number in some areas from BD-P2400 to BD-UP5000. They just copied and pasted the specs for the BD-P2400 and forgot to change the model number in places.
Also note at the bottom of the spec sheets

According to the spec sheet, DTH-HD MA will be a firmware upgradeable feature of the BD-P2400. I think that'll make a lot of audio enthusiasts happy.

Anywhere we can see pictures of the rear panel? I'd like to see the connectors, and how they're laid out.

Thank you! I wouldn't believe it had analog outs unless I saw them. Now I wonder how component out will compare to HDMI on these units.

Looks like I'll either buy one of these or a PS3 for playing BDs. Since I'm not a gamer, and it looks like the Samsung units will upconvert DVDs better, they're front runners for my $s.
