Hopefully this will be cheaper than the one from Japan

It will be a double dip for me and then a tripple dip with the 3D version next year

This cover art is identical (graphically) to the Japanese and Chinese versions. I pre-ordered the Japanese version which has a noticeably more purple hue to the steelbook cover. This version and the Chinese version have an almost black appearance to the background. I wonder if these are accurate depictions of the case colors or the colors are just different due to the the way the websites displayed their pictures. I do like the 'darker' look but I wonder if they are all exactly the same when they can actually be seen by somebody.

Anyone have any ideas? BTW - I am partially color blind so I may be talking out my @#$ and not even know it!!

You're right this one does look more like a darker/black color. I like this version more actually.

We're all agreed that this looks amazing, but what are the chances that it'll have english lettering on the back?

I know it happened with the Thailand Iron Man 2 steelbook, but Avatar is a 20th Century Fox release. Being a Fox release, we know that the back info is going to be printed on (Fox have never printed removable back info). If that's the case, then it would be nice to have english lettering on it.

Still looks a bajillion times better than the first UK release preorder steelbook.

Fox's IronPacks (released in Asia) have all had removable front/half slipcovers, like IM2 (Taiwan). Considering this will probaby be released in a few Asian countries (Thailand and Japan so far), I think it'll be just like IM2.
