Get ready for a movie version of the popular ‘80s puzzler, the Rubik's Cube.
Movie versions of childhood favourites 'Battleship' and 'Monopoly' are heading our way over the next couple of years, and it now looks like the multi-coloured block of plastic is joining them on the big screen.
The powerful Hollywood talent agency, Creative Arts Agency (CAA), has snapped up the toy as its client, and is pitching a movie version of the cube to various studios.
One of the suggestions revolves around people competing at a Rubik's Cube contest. Although it could be a short competition with the World Record standing at seven seconds to complete the 3x3x3 puzzler.
The agency's high profile talents include George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Joaquin Phoenix and Brad Pitt. Could any of these soon be trying to work out the brain-teasing puzzle?
The 3D puzzle was invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor Erno Rubik. Over 350 million cubes have been sold worldwide.
Previous game-to-screen adaptations include ‘Cluedo’ in cinemas and ‘Mouse Trap’, the kids’ game show.
What do you think the plot should be, and who should star in it?
