Canada Avatar glitch?

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but here goes. I watched the 3 hour version of Avatar yesterday. Twice when the Na'vi language was being spoken the forced(?) English subs didn't display properly. All that was displayed was a broken outline of each letter in each word. Is this a defect or a sign I need to update my firmware? By the way I bought this newly released 3-Disc BD in Canada and played it on a BD player bought in Canada. A BD player that's only 8 months old.

So NOBODY is experiencing glitches with this BD or doesn't know the answer to my question? A friend of mine experienced glitches with his copy to spite having the latest firmware.

Before you post, make sure you Blu-Ray player is up to date with Firmware updates. Usually that is the cause.

I've tried this on my PS3 and Oppo BDP-83 and had no issues.
