Default Blu-Ray with DVI?

I have recently upgraded my home audio system so I won't have the funds to do my TV, at lease for a few months. I have an older Sony HDTV ready KP-46WT500. This has a DVI input, will it work with Blu-Ray? Do I need to upgrade the TV before I can enjoy the benefits of Blu-Ray? The documentation says it will play 1080i, I assume using the DVI input. Can any of you provide any insight on this matter?

If the TV is HDCP compliant (most likely) then using a HDMI->DVI cable you should not have any problems at all playing back digitally.

Also, unless ITC is enabled on the disc, you can use component cables to get full 1080i image quality.

This cable should do the trick: http://www.cablesforless.com/index.a...OD&ProdID=2380 My Mits has DVI as well and this is the cable I own. I will know for certain tomorrow as I'm testing my TV and this cable with an HD DVD player.
