Default Blades of Glory ebay listing removed

Title says it all. Guess someone caught on, although I'm curious to know if it was a fake or not.

Well folks, who knows, I still wonder if he was bidding on his own stuff. But then again, it might be PM or M$ or something like that...or it could be like someone said, it might be fake.

This doesn't surprise me. I'd laugh if someone at To$hiba or M$ found about it and got it pulled.

When selling something controversial, always go for the 3-day listing!

Thumbs down

Here is what the owner of the Blades Of Glory on Blu Ray lister received, after cancelling his auction.

Dear missionk,

Thank you for your recent auction-style listing on eBay. Unfortunately, we removed the following item(s):

120157148522 - Blades of Glory (2007, Blu-ray Disc) Authentic HTF

The rights owner, DreamWorks SKG, notified eBay that this listing violates intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of
this type of violation, we remove the listing to comply with the law.

The following information may help explain the reason for your listing(s) removal:

A listing or item may violate intellectual property rights if the seller:
- Uses a manufacturer's photo or item description
- Lists a counterfeit or fake item
- Lists illegal copies of media such as music, movies, computer programs, and video games

For more information on Reported by Rights Owner - Unauthorised Item/Listing visit the following Help page:

http://pages.*********/help/confiden...hts-owner.html

We encourage you to contact DreamWorks SKG directly if you have any questions. You can send an email to:

kmwlaw@flash.net

Paramount and Dreamworks are sure playing dirty with this. I hope the owner of the disk sues them over censuring his auction. It sure has become an embarrasment to them. It just proves that they sold out.

Something wrong with this picture. People sell new and used movies all the time on e-bay. No property right infringment is valid in this case. Ebay is supposed to be a venue for people buying and selling their own personal items that they want to relinquish or aquire. I sold on ebay for over two years. Sold some new and used DVDs and VHS movies as well. Never had ebay pull any of my personal items off the site. Guess that 150 mil has made a few new friends...

If someone using the manufacturer's photos is in violation of these terms, then there are a lot of eBay members who are guilty of the same thing. I'm wondering about the post at the moment. And unless the item is a bootleg copy, then it makes no sense that DreamWorks would be all that upset about it that they would yank it off.

There was a "Beavis & Butthead" collection released by MTV/Paramount a couple of years ago, that Mike Judge had not approved and they had to pull it just before release.

Yet copies that slipped through were sold on Ebay, and still are to this day.

The fact that they're doing this on BOG is odd... there is definitely something up here.

I wouldn't do conspiracy theory until there's evidence of such. Seriously

This screams overzealous firm who has been assigned to hunt out and stop bootlegs

Eh, it's not really a big deal I say we move on to something else that doesn't revolve around Paramount.

if you notice now real scammers are popping up. there are a couple bluray copies listed on ebay now, but if you read the description they say, its not really bluray.
