Like maybe they are going out of business? The CompUSA where I live was almost always busy and they closed it down. Doubt if yours is closing, you would have heard about it before. They had a huge sale for months, but nothing ever really got that cheap.

The CA stores all shut down about 4 mos. ago. And good riddance. Everything was way overpriced even when on sale, and they had a lame 21-day return policy. No wonder they tanked.

Default Local CompUSA

My local CompUSA doesn't have any HD-DVD's in stock, only a few Blu-rays.

Last time I was there they were clearing the place out.

Building one in the same parking lot as best buy and circuit city prob never helped them anyway.

Around here, we had a Comp USA and a Circuit City. They put each other out of business (don't ask how, but that's what both stores said). Then about a week later, Best Buy moved in. I think they may have been a little intimidated?
