Default How is your Blockbuster Doing?

I just got back from Blockbuster and I am pleased to say that the Blu-Ray section has really grown. A few weeks ago, there was about 15 BD titles. Tonight there was about 70. They even had all three Mission Impossibles and Flags of Our Fathers. The checkout clerk told me they are renting them like crazy and getting new titles every day. Very encouraging. Anyone else seeing this at their local Blockbuster?

None of mine are carrying blu yet. They literaly shunned half of the Denver metro area (the west side of around 1.5 million plus people) and only have blu-ray at a select few stores on the east side.

I was just making a trip down to my closest one to ask again. Hopefully if I keep going one of these days they'll get the hint.

You can on the Canadian site but not the US one as far as I can tell. Kinda weird, but then again, the list of stores in Canada is much shorter. You'd think they could at least add an entry to the store locator though?

My local BBs have a lot of BDs for rent... I'd say they all have at least 30. Unfortunately on any given night you may only see 1-5 as being checked out. But least they're out there.

Mine has had two 4' sections for older movies and one 4' section for newer movies. Last I checked they added more copies per title.

Mine in Niagara has doubled in size for BD's in the last week as well.... I support them! I try to spend my money all over to show support everywhere... Walmart, Best buy, Futureshop, Amazon, Blockbuster...... all over !

Everyone needs to know how much we love BLU !

The Canadian stores are also not supporting BR only like the US stores our only store in London carries both and both formats are split 50/50 for shelf space. They did say they SELL more HD DVD than BR though but the rental side is about 3-1 HD over Blue from what I have heard Canada is a big proponent on the HD DVD side of the fence even our Best Buys push it more in London than they do the Blue side. We currently only have one store renting HD media in London but they are looking at expanding it to 3 more stores so we shall see what happens.

Mine has about 80 placed dead center of the new release section, and another 20-30 with the PS3 games. Also, if yo want one for the weekend, you better get it before Friday because they're picked clean.

No BD in my local store. My weekly cycle is usually BD online, then trade them in-store on Tuesdays for new releases on regular dvd, tv shows, or games (any mix of these).

BB store in North Dallas has a huge selection of Blu-Ray movies, I'm in there a lot and they used to have one copy of each movie and now they have two on some popular titles. Good sign!

You mean the stores in your area, because the stores in my area are either split or show a larger BD section.

If you have other information that says "Canada is a big proponent on the HD DVD side of the fence" post it. If the only info you have is in your area, maybe you should be more specific.
