Question Samsungs DNIe on games (360 & ps3) as well on Blu-ray movies

so i just got a 57" samsung fullHD 1080p micro dlp hdtv..........my question is why in the world does the DNIe make everything look so damn bad and dark/black?!?! i had it on while playing stranglehold for ps3 and it made it look like a ps2 game (jaggies and things just looked like crap), so then i thew in Hellboy on Bluray and it make alot of the scenes really hard to see b/c they were so dark (i had the hdtv set to "dynamic" settings aswell). so by this point i was thinking i should have kept my sony 40" bravia v-series.......i threw in gears of war for 360 and that looked dark and shitty! So after all this i turned off the DNIe and everything looked amazing! hellboy looked high def. and everything jumped out! stranglehold on the ps3 looked crazy! and gears looked like good crazy ass gears of war again...........so why the hell does samsung push this DNIe thing if it makes everything super black and just nasty?

hey, just switch the dynamic setting to normal and the dnile works fine for both ps3 games and movies.

yeah i had a customer in today. looking at the samsung 71f and the xbr4.. side by side the wifey was like the samsung is alot more vibrant but i threw in the feed where it showed alot of close up of people and how the DNIE completely messes things up. turned dnie off and she liked the sony alot. they left with a 52 sony ps3 setup with 300 in tow

yea sounds like the best thing was done there. if i could have afforded the 52" i would have been in pig heaven. but i got my sammy for 1100.00 after 10% off of the open box one. i think it retails for 2899.99.

As for just going to standard and then hitting on DNIe that works but the vivid picture is gone and thats what makes everything look super high def. and jump out, so im just gonna stick with the dynamic w/no DNIe. gotta say that sonys bravia engine kicks ass! but the sammy comes close enough with it on dynamic and the DNIe off. After i buy my house i will try and get the Sony 57" xbr5 or xbr4 w/ 120mhz/fps. would the 120fps screw up playing games? i know it makes blu-ray look freaking insane.
