I am excited for these bonus features. It's annoying, though, that the blu-ray is coming out a week after the DVD. |

That aside.... I saw this on Palladia the other evening, and I can't wait to get my paws on this blu. I've been a fan for decades, and met Lem numerous times (I have all those unseen interviews on DVD, too!), but this film showed me a much different side of Lemmy than I'd seen before. Well...not different, but more relaxed and open, maybe. But I will say that it's an incredibly revealing and, at times, a very moving film, and anyone who has any interest at all (even marginal) should see it; it's well worth your time and money. |

I just watched this documentary. It was great! Very similar to "Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage" in how it plays out. You see Lemmy at his house, showing off his war memorabilia, talking about his son (as well as another child he has that he's never seen), his musical influences, his gambling addiction and how he maintained to stay physically healthy despite drug usage. I learned about Lemmy from this doc.

Hey everyone. Is it just me or is at least some of the audio a bit out of sync? I watched w/ the 5.1 mix and it seemed like there were at least a couple of occasions where the audio was a bit off. One was during a performance in the middle (the Berlin festival, I think) and the other was during the Corey Parks interview. Am I nuts? If anybody has the UK disc, does that seem a little out of sync too?
Other than that and the lack of lossless audio (use two discs, you fools!), I enjoyed the film. I'm seeing Motörhead for the first time very soon and am really excited! If I can hit the stage like Lemmy when I'm half his age, I'll be feeling pretty good about life. |
