what happen if 20centuryfox and SONY does not support HD-DVD, if HD-DVD win?

The same as will happen to Philips, Panasonic, Apple, Pioneer, JVC, Dell and the 100+ BIG Consumer Electronic companies. The question should be what will happen to YOU.

YOU will pay more as they will all have to pay fees to Toshiba and you will have an inferior product. It's noy going to happen.

Just curious... Does anyone know the royalty fee that Sony gets for Bluray versus what Toshiba gets for HDDVD?

Good question. Blu-ray Disc was developed outside the DVD forum and inside a new organisation; the BDA, to avoid high royalties to Toshiba & others in the future...
Wouldn't be surprised if the royalties are high again only now it will be other companies...
