I saw the discussion during the Warner Bros. panic where ppl started exchanging: "Sony should just buy Toshiba", "Toshiba could buy Sony and not even notice", "Micro$oft has more money than God" etc.
Thought I'd share some practical financial info: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortu...ist/index.html Sony's #69, Toshiba #91. M$ is at #139, and incidentally, Warner's #137. According to the Economist just a couple years ago, Sony was in the Top 20. Walmart was #2 at that time, now at the top. That all being said, I highly doubt anyone's buying anyone right now. Japanese corporations generally aren't for sale to foreigners. |
