Default my eyes cant see 3D properly!

I recently bought the XBR 60inch sony 3DTV, its great. the 3Ds great too. everyone in my family can view the 3D effects effortlessly however I seem to have problems in viewing anything 3D. I really have to strain my eyes or sit in a awkward position to see the depth, its great but really annoying as i only see around 50% of all the 3D effects in a movie or game. btw i have glasses that i wear under the 3D glasses.

I'm guessing you partially stereo blind. If you really like 3d you can train your eyes to see it completely but it is alot of work, but in the end if you work at it you will see it with little to no effort.

Why didn't you test the TV in-store before you bought it?

Around 10% of the populous is at least partically stereo blind. For those people 3D isn't really an upgrade just as color is no upgrade for the color blind. My mother is one of those unlucky few and sees no value in 3D like I do. I wish you best though

Color blind people see color.... They don't see the world in black and white... They just see the wrong colors. I'm color blind and I sometimes see green as gray, blue as purple, and red as pink.

And I calibrated my tv using a colorimeter so I could make sure my tv was showing accurate colors. Now the tv displays colors accurately, adhering to the rec 709 standards, with a proper gray scale, gamma, etc... When the tv shows the sky, it looks like the sky I see. When it shows grass, it looks gray to me like it does in real life to me. That adds to the realism for me.

Color tv is an upgrade to me, and any color blind person.

If I was unable to see 3d, 3d would not be an upgrade.
