Shaw Bros. Blu-rays - Blu-ray Forum

For anyone that are buying these Shaw Bros blu-rays, make sure to check the trailer section, because they seem to be releasing blu-rays of whatever trailers are on that blu-ray.

For example, on the Love Eterne blu-ray, they showed trailers for The Three Smiles, The Kingdom and the Beauty, and all three One-Armed Swordsman movies. All of these movies are now coming out on blu-ray. So I wonder what trailers are on the One-Armed Swordsman blu-rays.

I'm really glad you created this thread, because I didn't know about Intercontinental Video's SB releases and thought the only Shaw Brothers films on blu were released by American companies. I can't wait for the One Armed Swordsman trilogy!

Pro-B, you can add "Behind The Yellow Line" to the HK Shaw's list.

There is this French boxset but it is for the Gallic markets only (not English-friendly). It includes The 36th Chamber of Shaolin; Return to the 36th Chamber; Disciples of the 36th Chamber.

Yes, I was a bit pissed off at its Gallic-only status when this was released because it's a beautiful package and the transfer for 36th Chamber is quite superior to the Dragon Dynasty release.

You are absolutely correct, Aristide Massaccesi

. I was hoping that by now one of the UK labels that specializes in Asian productions (either Tartan or Showbox) would license these transfers, but they have not.

Boy I sure hope Dragon Dynasty double dips 36th Chamber sometime in the near future becuz the current release is just atrocious. They do have 5 Venoms coming in May supposedly in 1080p so Im looking forward to that.

I don't know, Tartan's record on Asian blu-rays is pretty spotty.

I just received Return of The One Armed Swordsman and The New One Armed Swordsman films, and watched them already... They are nice.

The original is out of stock and has been for a while!

The trailers on these two releases indicate we can expect 36TH Chamber of Shaolin as well.

YES ASIA had them. I was waiting for the HK releases of these classics but they were cancelled for some reason, anyone know if these will ever get a HK release?
