Default Troy, Alexander, Smallville - copies already at stores

I just wanted to let everyone know this is a nationwide problem with all the distributors and the retailers.

While some other blu-ray's have been rec'd already We Are Marshall.

These should have been shipped a few days ago to all retailers nationwide but Warner is not giving any specific information as to what the delay is.
Warner is claiming that their system is "locked up" and therefore can not give out any tracking information or ETA to any of the distributors. What i keep hearing back from my reps is they were expecting it at the latest yesterday or today. As of this morning none of the above titles have been rec'd by any of the distributors. There is some talk that i've heard about a push back to 10/2 but until i hear that from my distributors I'm still expecting a release date of Tuesday as long as they receive all the shipments by this afternoon. I will keep everyone updated as I hear back from everyone.

Sorry about this

I wouldn't worry about this. At the worst, the will be a few days late. At the best, they are indeed on the way and there is just an error in their system with tracking, etc.

I sure hope it's not delayed. I personally don't care about Alexander or Smallville, but I was looking forward to Troy on BD on the 18th.

I'm not really worried at this point but apparently some online retailers have already pushed the release date for Troy to 10/2

Is there a version of Troy not starring Brad Pitt because the one with him in it I hated? Especially since I bought it on DVD without ever seeing it. If there wasn't a hole in the middle, I'd be using the disc as a drink coaster...

In all seriousness, can you tell me something positive about that movie? All I saw was Brad Pitt's character acting like a spoiled prick.

Of course, I'm on the other side of the fence disappointed with the potential delay of Smallville.

You are not alone in that feeling, seems a fair number of people don't like it. Personally I loved the movie. Brad Pitts' character was Achilles, and was supposed to be all bad ass. I dunno, to each his own. I'll be buying it for sure.

I enjoyed Troy enough.

But back on topic, last week by this time, Amazon had already put my PSP into the 'shipping soon' category. I was wondering why Smallville wasnt in that category this morning, perhaps this is the reason.

I dont really mind though. As longas it wasnt cancelled, and I know we'll get it soon, I'll be happy.

Actually, it IS the other version of Troy that everyone is talking about.

Did you get Deliverance yet? That's another Warner title with a 9/18 release date.

Are these just the BDs, or are the HD DVDs being delayed as well?

It is going to take more than one day to end this format war. The best thing to do is keep buying the releases when you want, not waiting for a single day. That being said I am getting The Departed and FF Spirits Within that day.

Sounds like a backlog at the pressing facilities due to the large ramp up for Q4 deliveries.

Yeah but if they are delayed it puts a serious damper on our buy-a-thon day. Close to 600 members with less titles to choose from.

Hell, at least they were MADE.

With the coming-soon-maybe-never stroke-a-thon, I'm always pleased to see movies actually made and delivered.

I work at wal-mart and the standard dvd versions of troy, alexander, and smallville came in on wednesday. But when I enter the upc's for the hd dvd or blu-ray versions I get nothing. I'm sure we'll get them monday. same thing happened with apocalypto and letters from iwo jima, they both came in the day before release instead of the usual 6-7 days.

When I asked about Troy last I was told it may get pushed back but that T3 would be coming soon.
