Default A really nice use for the DVD included in combo packs

I was reminded today about this because of the Amazon "Buy 3 Disneys, get $20 off" sale on now...

When buying multiple copies of animated titles like the Disneys in order to get a great deal, if you don't have anyone really to give the extra copy (or copies) to, you might consider giving the DVD part to a local Children's Hospital. I've given a number of DVDs to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, and believe me, I always wish I could give more. A lot of the kids there are in for a very long time and you would be surprised how much they love things like comic books and movies. And it makes you feel terrific.

(If you want, you can fill out a form while there so it is a charitable deduction for you.)

Another nice thing you can do with Blu-ray unopened packs (combo or not) is if you know a school in your area that is having an auction to raise money for something, they make great basket stuffers with some microwave popcorn packages.

I think I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the idea.

An excellent idea indeed. Only problem in my case is that I live in Europe, but all my BDs are U.S imports, so I am not sure if they could actually play them.

Donating the DVDs to your local library is also a good idea and it's tax deductible.
